THE POWER OF BREATHING
INCREASE PERFORMANCE, FOCUS, MENTAL STRENGTH, RECOVERY, INJURY PREVENTION
With the power of controlled breathing training you can improve your performance, focus, emotional strength, stress response, and recovery.
My breathwork training is helping you in all aspects to reach your top form.
Many professional athletes consider breathwork training to be their "secret weapon" - and for good reason since it could be the difference between winning and losing!
INCREASE PERFORMANCE THROUGH CONTROLLED BREATHING
With proper efficient breathing, you can unleash the full potential of your body. Using the optimal breathing process, you strengthen your diaphragm, expand your lung capacity, improve your oxygen intake and Co2 tolerance, control your heart rate. Proper diaphragmatic breathing and targeted breathing exercises are the first step to become more efficient and increase your performance.
FOCUS
With controlled breathing you improve your ability to focus and reach your goals and achievements more efficiently. Special breathing techniques help to mentally prepare yourself pre-game, get you in "the zone". During the game/tournament breathing will help you achieve your ideal performance state, refocus and prevent loss of concentration.
MENTAL STRENGTH
Success starts within. Breathing exercises and meditation increase and improve your mental strength and stress management by learning to control consciousness, emotions and your targeted mindset. Athletes who visualize accomplishing specific goals in meditation practices, combined with the regular practice of breathing exercises can also train the body to work harder and for a longer period of time in training and competition. During the game the diaphragmatic breathing will also improve your performance through better managing stress situations, emotional regulations, information processing and decision making.
RECOVERY
Recovery is essential for peak performance. The nervous system is one of the important factors and plays a key role in effective recovery. The stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, are released from the sympathetic nervous system in your body at high performance and intensive training. If you are not able to break them down and recover adequately, over time your performance will decrease, you will turn into a state of underrecovery.
Stress hormones can effectively be broken down by the parasympathetic part of your nervous system through targeted breathing in the recovery phase in the half time break and after the game and before sleep. Your performance increases in the long run, your homeostasis gets balanced. Above all, you can prevent a drop in performance caused by exhaustion of your nervous system during a long competition/season. You benefit from your breathwork, promoting your parasympathetic system, constantly reducing your cortisol and being able to perform at the best in the extremely important final phase of competition.
It has been shown in well-founded sports science studies, that performance depends decisively on the ability to recuperate on a mental level and at the nervous system level.
With systematic breathwork you promote recovery, prevent fatigue and injuries and reach your best performance.
FLEXIBILITY AND INJURY PREVENTION
It is necessary to achieve flexibility in your chest when you strengthen your diaphragm to increase your lung capacity, because you need space for your lungs to expand.
As a multiple-certified yoga teacher, I can also offer in addition a targeted movement training based on yoga to significantly improve the flexibility and strength you need in your specific sport. This highly reduces your susceptibility to injury.
